Agreement to Terms
By using the services provided by SmartLane Oak Park Towing, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of our services means you accept any changes.
Services We Provide
SmartLane Oak Park Towing provides emergency towing, roadside assistance, flatbed towing, long-distance towing, motorcycle towing, accident recovery and winching, junk car removal, and heavy-duty towing services. All services are subject to availability and may be limited by weather conditions, equipment availability, or other factors beyond our control.
When you request a tow or service, you authorize us to transport your vehicle to the destination you specify. You are responsible for providing accurate information about your vehicle and location. If you provide incorrect information that results in delays or additional costs, you may be charged accordingly.
Payment and Pricing
We provide price estimates when you call for service. Final charges may vary based on actual distance traveled, time required, or additional services needed on-site. Payment is due when service is completed unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to hold your vehicle until payment is made in full. Storage fees may apply for vehicles held beyond 24 hours.
If you dispute a charge, please contact us within 7 days of service. We will review the situation and work with you to resolve any billing issues fairly.
Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that your vehicle is ready for towing. This includes removing all valuable personal items before we transport your vehicle. While we take care to handle your vehicle safely, we are not responsible for any items left inside.
You must provide proof of ownership or authorization to tow the vehicle. If you request a tow for a vehicle you do not own, you must have written permission from the owner. We reserve the right to refuse service if we cannot verify proper authorization.
If your vehicle has any special requirements or modifications that could affect towing, you must inform us when you request service. This includes lowered suspension, custom body kits, all-wheel drive systems, or any other features that require special handling.
Limitation of Liability
SmartLane Oak Park Towing carries insurance and takes every precaution to handle your vehicle safely. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing damage to your vehicle. Before we tow your vehicle, our driver will document its condition.
We are not liable for mechanical failures, hidden defects, or damage that occurs as a result of the condition your vehicle was in before we provided service. If your vehicle has existing damage from an accident or breakdown, we will note it before transport.
Our liability is limited to damage directly caused by our negligence during the towing process. In no event will our liability exceed the actual value of your vehicle or the cost of repairs, whichever is less.
Cancellations and No-Shows
If you need to cancel your service request, please call us as soon as possible. If our driver is already on the way to your location, a cancellation fee may apply to cover the dispatch and travel costs.
If you are not at the location when our driver arrives and we cannot reach you by phone, we may charge a no-show fee. Please make sure you are available and reachable at the number you provide when requesting service.
Storage and Impound
If you request that we store your vehicle at our facility, daily storage fees will apply after the first 24 hours. You must retrieve your vehicle within a reasonable time and pay all outstanding charges before we release it.
Vehicles left unclaimed for more than 30 days may be subject to lien and sale procedures as permitted by Illinois law. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before taking any such action.
Disputes and Resolution

Any disputes that cannot be resolved through direct communication will be handled through binding arbitration in Oak Park, Illinois, in accordance with Illinois state law.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services after any changes means you accept the updated terms.
